If you’ve been on the new Digg at all in the past day or so you’re probably already familiar with the above “Fail Ox” image, especially if you’re trying to use Digg search . The image is new, and is the result of Digg designer Tyson Rosage ‘s obsession with the old school computer game The Oregon Trail. Digg’s Kevin Rose told TechCrunch and Twitter last night that Digg experienced over 1 million unique visits on its launch day (the site has been averaging about 8.7 million unique visits per month, according to Comscore) as well as “a handful of new bugs.” “We hope to have all the major issues fixed in the next 24hrs,” says Rose, which might affect the ubiquity of the “404″ page.

This morning the company is launching BrashSports , a new content channel that encompasses a network of more than 25 sports-related properties, including SportsFanLive and Bloguin. Curse , a startup that offers a variety of gaming-related resources, tools, and news sites, has added a new property to its arsenal: the company has just acquired MMO-Champion , a very popular site that follows news for the hit massively multiplayer game World of Warcraft. Curse is acquiring the site from Major League Gaming and is not disclosing the terms of the deal, other than to say MMO-Champion founder Fabien Bonte will be joining the Curse team. This continues Curse’s streak of purchasing promising and successful gaming properties as it looks to establish itself as the de facto resource for serious gamers.

Luxury products giant LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) has reached an agreement to acquire a 70%, controlling stake in Sack’s , a Brazilian online retailer of fragrances, cosmetics and toiletries. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. With the acquisition, LVMH aims to expand its Sephora subsidiary into the Brazilian perfumes and cosmetics market, reportedly one of the largest and fastest-growing beauty markets worldwide
