Facebook India Offices Officially Open

Hot on the heels of Facebook overtaking Orkut as India’s most prominent social network with 21 million vs. 20 million unique visitors in July,  the company officially opened its much anticipated office in Hyderabad earlier this week. Facebook Hyderabad is Facebook’s second International office, after Dublin, Ireland and the Indian team will include more sales and operations as well as multi-lingual support staff in order provide round-the-clock international support

Mobile, Social Games Developer Digital Chocolate Takes Zynga To Court

Digital Chocolate , a leading publisher of casual games for the iPhone (and a bunch of other mobile phones), the Web, Facebook and Xbox LIVE, has apparently filed suit against its high-profile rival Zynga . We don’t have any details on the specifics of the lawsuit yet, but the nature of the suit indicates that this is a dispute over intellectual property and/or trademarks. Zynga has already commented on the suit, but declined to share details about its subject at this point.

Zynga Launches First Localized Game; Debuts Chinese Version Of Texas Poker

It’s no secret that Zynga has actively targeted the Asian gaming market in its international expansion strategy. The gaming giant recently bought Japanese gaming startup Unoh, took a $150 million investment from Japan’s SoftBank Capital, acquired Chinese game developer XPD Media and set up a Beijing office.
